BIDDING AT THE SALE: as you arrive at the venue, register at reception and you will receive a bidder number. You can then view and bid at the sale. When you have finished bidding, leave a little time for your latest bids to arrive at Admin, then present your bidder number at reception and you will get an invoice, you can then pay for your lots and collect them immediately, subject to clearance of payment.

COMMISSION BIDDING: If you're unable to attend the sale but would like to leave commission bids, please contact us by telephone, post or email AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE SALE DAY with clear indications of your maximum bid for each lot you are interested in. We will then bid on your behalf up to your maximum for each lot, you will secure the lot if your bid is greater than all room bids and other commission bids, and you will pay one bidding step over the next highest bid, as if you were bidding yourself.

TELEPHONE BIDDING: Again, if you are unable to attend the sale, you may be able to bid by telephone, but please be aware there will only be a limited availability of this facility, and it's advisable to book this well in advance.

PAYING FOR YOUR LOTS: at the sale, you can pay by cash, or cheque (subject to conditions, see conditions of business). Absent bidders can pay by these methods plus Paypal or Nochex, we will also accept bankers drafts. Unfortunately due to high costs we are not ready to accept Credit or Debit cards at the sale, apologies to anyone to whom this is an inconvenience.

COLLECTING YOUR LOTS: at the sale, you can collect your lots after your payment has been processed. Absent bidders, after their payment is cleared, will receive their lots by insured post. We will post to anywhere in the world, postage will be charged at cost, but all postage and insurance costs must be borne by the purchaser. Or, if you fancy a trip to West Cumbria, you can collect them in person, please phone to arrange.
