Each lot may be subject to a reserve price determined by the vendor. Estimated prices given in the catalogue are the Auctioneer's estimate of what a lot may be expected to fetch, based on such things as market trends and past performance of such lots. Estimates are not intended to reflect reserve prices or starting price and as we all know, may differ considerably from the actual price realised. Each lot has been examined by the Auctioneer and a description provided, in some cases this description has been provided by the vendor, bidders are advised to examine and research the lots themselves prior to the sale. Grading of coins has been provided where practical, where a grade has been given every effort has been made to be strict and accurate. Each lot is guaranteed to be genuine to the best of the Auctioneer's knowledge, unless stated otherwise. If a lot is proved to be counterfeit or significantly different from the description given in the catalogue, the buyer has the right to return the lot at his expense for a refund. It is the buyers responsibility to prove the lot is not genuine. This does not apply to bulk lots, i.e lots in which each coin is not individually described and graded. Viewing of the lots is possible at the auction venue from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm on the day of the sale. For bidders unable to attend, all lots are available to view online at www.lakelandcoinauctions.co.uk with a full screen picture for each lot. Obviously in the case of bulk lots it is impossible to provide a complete description or picture of what is contained in the lot, so such lots are sold without any returns policy. Viewing of bulk lots in person is strongly advised. Buyer's premium of 15% inclusive of VAT will be added to the hammer price of each lot. All lots are sold under the Auctioneers VAT Margin Scheme unless otherwise stated, and VAT will not be shown seperately on the buyer's invoice. Bidding steps shall be at the Auctioneer's discretion. The Auctioneer has the right to refuse any bid, to withdraw any lot from sale, to group two or more lots together to sell as one lot, and to bid on behalf of any client or vendor. Room Bidders must register on arrival, and provide such identification and references as may be required. You will be provided with a bidder number which must be shown clearly while bidding. Please bid clearly and also indicate clearly when you no longer wish to bid, and make sure your number is recorded if you are the winning bidder, and you are sure of the price you are paying. If there is any doubt please bring this to the Auctioneer's attention immediately. Persons wishing to bid but unable to attend the sale may place commission bids by post, telephone, or email. A bidding form is provided with the catalogue. Please state the maximum amount you are prepared to pay for each lot, and the Auctioneer will bid on your behalf up to that amount. If your bid is higher than all room bids and other commission bids, you will secure the lot for one bidding step above the next highest bid as if you were present in the room. All commission bids must be received at least 24 hours before the sale day, or there will be no guarantee they will be recorded. Please check your bids carefully as the Auctioneer cannot be responsible for any errors.
PAYMENT at the sale venue may be by cash, cheque with guarantee card, or building society draft. Commission bidders can also pay by Paypal, Nochex or direct bank transfer.
